Madras® progressive satin products achieve ideal visual delicacy and protection of privacy and find wide application indoors and out, from the construction industry to design. Pleasing to the touch and long lasting, because the base material is always and only glass, and simple to install and maintain.
Base material: monolithic float glass to UNI EN 572 1-2: 2004.
Description and performance: one side of the plate is rendered partially opaque by a satin finish that very subtly graded till it disappears, leaving the rest of the glass transparent. The part of the glass where the finish is most opaque effectively veils vision. The treated surface is smooth to the touch and its extremely low porosity ensures its resistance to fingerprints and scratches, as well as making it very easy to clean.
It can also be supplied, on request, with the graduated satin-finished band in a customized position or with the satin finish gradually fading right up to the edge of the plate. However, the graduated satin-finished band is always parallel to the 2250 mm side and this cannot be modified.
Plate size: 2250 x 3210 mm.

Weight: 2.5 kg/m2 per millimetre of thickness.
Standard colour: clear.
Compatible processing: all mechanical and heat processes (cutting, grinding, bevelling, etching, drilling, laminating, double glazing, painting, silvering, enamelling, tempering, bending, etc.).
Indoor applications: partition walls, doors (framed and all-glass), sliding doors, furnishings, shower screens (we recommend installing the glass with the treated side facing outwards, so that the shielding function continues to work while the shower is on).
Outdoor applications: façades, balconies, shelters, shop windows.
